Head Teacher - Halswell

Stables Montessori is a locally-owned group of preschools, with a purpose built centre in Halswell! As our enrolments continue to grow, we’re looking for passionate full-time Head Teachers to join our team in our 3-6 year old classroom.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create a safe, supportive environment that priorities the well-being of each child.
- Build strong, positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
- Implement an engaging, age-appropriate curriculum that fosters a love of learning.
- Conduct developmental assessments and keep detailed records of each child’s progress.
- Collaborate with the team to plan and deliver enriching activities and events.
- Act as a person responsible for the centre, as directed.
What We’re Looking For:
- Experienced registered teachers with a passion for working with children aged 3-6 years
- Build effective connections with children, families, and colleagues.
- A passion for early childhood education and a commitment to fostering a positive and nurturing learning environment.
- Ability to work full time, Monday to Friday.
- Successful applicants will have the legal right to work in New Zealand. We are not currently providing visa sponsorship opportunities to offshore applicants.
